Now, I’m not talking religiously, every sunday for the rest of your life. right and not “right now” by dating more than one person and playing the field.I’m talking about learning about different cultures. Make sure in 20 years you aren’t regretting the fact that you didn’t see enough people to really know if you love the one you’re with now. Then follow-up and actually have a real date like people used to.You don’t have to have a HUGE selection, but when it comes to clothes, people notice if you dress well, whether you like it or not. I applaud you for having that kind of cash, but being able to give yourself a really good manicure is way more impressive. Your body is going to start to change, so if you haven’t already, get a workout routine up and running. Get your butt out there and start doing something you love! This is the generation that is known for breaking the rules, so we need to prove that we have a reason for doing so.
As you get older, not doing things you don’t want to do makes way more sense then pretending to be happy for 5 hours of your life around people you haven’t seen in 8 years and really have no desire to see again. It’s time to get over the teenage angst because they won’t be there forever.
I’m not talking about reading a tweet, but a real book.
It doesn’t matter what the book is, just give your brain some real energy while disconnecting from the rest of the world. We’ve written about this before, but the younger you are, the easier it is!
Also know what your date means when they say they like something “dry and fruity” v.s “sweet and heavy.” You don’t have to like everyone, but you have to suck it up sometimes.
Whether it’s family of friends, friends of family, SO’s best friends or your best friends SO.
